Don't Know What's Wrong?
You don't need to have all the answers before starting counselling.
You might be experiencing...
-
Constant overthinking
-
Feeling overwhelmed by everyday life
-
Anxiety or worry
-
Low mood
-
Feeling stuck or lost
-
Difficulties in relationships
You don't need a diagnosis
You don't need to know exactly what's wrong before coming to counselling. You don't need a label, diagnosis, or crisis. Sometimes talking things through with someone impartial is enough to begin understanding what's happening.
Counselling offers space
Counselling provides a confidential, non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Together we can begin to untangle what may currently feel confusing or overwhelming.
It's Okay Not to Have the Answers
Many people worry that they won't know what to say in counselling.
Some even delay seeking support because they think they should be able to explain exactly what's wrong before they reach out.
The truth is that counselling isn't about arriving with all the answers.
Often, understanding develops through the process itself.
You may begin with a feeling that something isn't right, that life feels harder than it used to, or that you're carrying worries you can't seem to shake. Through counselling, we can gently explore these experiences together and help you gain greater clarity and self-understanding.
As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I work in a way that allows sessions to be guided by what feels important to you. There is no fixed agenda and no pressure to talk about anything before you're ready.
