Do You Find Yourself Overthinking Everything?

Many people who come to counselling describe feeling trapped in their own thoughts.

You may replay conversations long after they've happened, worry about things that haven't happened yet, or find it difficult to switch off and relax.

Sometimes overthinking can leave you feeling anxious, exhausted, and unsure of yourself.

You might know that your worries are becoming overwhelming, but not know how to stop them.

Does this sound familiar?

  • You constantly analyse situations and conversations

  • You worry about making mistakes

  • You imagine worst-case scenarios

  • You struggle to relax or switch off

  • You seek reassurance from others but still feel uncertain

  • Your mind feels busy even when you're tired

How counselling can help

Counselling won't tell you what to think.

Instead, it offers a space to slow down and explore what's happening beneath the anxiety and overthinking.

Often, when we begin to understand ourselves more deeply, our thoughts become less overwhelming and we feel more able to cope with life's challenges.

My approach

As a person-centred counsellor, I won't arrive with a fixed agenda or tell you what you should be doing.

Instead, we'll work together at your pace, focusing on whatever feels important to you.

It's Okay Not to Have the Answers

Many people worry that they won't know what to say in counselling.

Some even delay seeking support because they think they should be able to explain exactly what's wrong before they reach out.

The truth is that counselling isn't about arriving with all the answers.

Often, understanding develops through the process itself.

You may begin with a feeling that something isn't right, that life feels harder than it used to, or that you're carrying worries you can't seem to shake. Through counselling, we can gently explore these experiences together and help you gain greater clarity and self-understanding.

As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I work in a way that allows sessions to be guided by what feels important to you. There is no fixed agenda and no pressure to talk about anything before you're ready.

Thinking About Counselling?

You don't need to have all the answers before reaching out.

If you'd like to discuss whether counselling might be right for you, I'd be happy to hear from you.
